Hyatt Regional Vice President, Sales;Caribbean, Latin & South America; BASED IN MIAMI in CHICAGO, Illinois


Summary The Regional Vice President of Sales; Americas has oversight of the Sales and Marketing operation of multiple hotels including the sales and marketing budget and business plans, forecasts and advertising for Latin America, South America and Caribbean region (LATAM). Responsible for leading communication and creating business strategies from this segment in the LATAM region with clear strategic plans and timed initiatives for the LATAM region with metrics in place to measure success. This position is based out of the Hyatt Latin America and Caribbean office in Coral Gables, FL. Responsibilities - Accountable for revenue objectives of multiple hotels within their region / segment. - Set revenue targets and hotel quotas. - Conduct MOR's and audits to ensure accurate financial reporting, account deployment and tactical sales planning. - Provide Corporate office and SVP - Field Operations with sales support and expertise on assigned hotels. - Act as conduit between Corporate and hotels to execute corporate revenue generation initiatives and handle sales issues. - Represent Hyatt at select ownership meetings as the revenue generation expert. - Assist Hyatt Development and SVP's with market intelligence on proposed new Hyatt products. - Lead product type cluster sales effort to drive revenue generation best practices and promotions. - Assist in development of standards by product type. - Act as the customer advocate for their assigned hotels and Hyatt in general. - Manage human resource planning of the sales force for their assigned hotels. - Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values - The position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all encompassing. Qualifications Experience - Minimum 10 years hotel sales experience in a Full Service Hotel - Minimum 6 years director of sales experience in a Full Service Hotel within Latin America or the Caribbean. - Strong knowledge and understanding of the pre-opening experience & process in various countries throughout LATAM. - Experience within a Hyatt Hotel is preferred. Education * - Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Sales, or Business required - Master's degree in Hotel Management, Sales, or Business preferred *Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job - Efficient with computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) - Envision, EAS,, and Lanyon RFP proficiency

Additional Comments and Requirements - Bi-lingual in English/Spanish is preferred. - Ability to learn Spanish is required. - Ability to travel extensively on a domestic and international basis (approximately 65%)
